EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF ASYNCHRONOUS ONLINE LEARNING
Over 25 years ago, Alicia began teaching elementary school with a passion for integrating technology in her daily instruction. After eight years in the classroom, Alicia followed her love of teaching Reading and Technology and became a district coach for a large district in Texas. For the past decade, she has worked in the educational consulting world creating interactive, engaging, meaningful asynchronous learning experiences that teachers WANT to take! In 2019, she realized a dream of hers and created friEdOnline. With the amazing knowledge and expertise of everyone at friEdTechnology, friEdOnline has surpassed all of her expectations and continues to flourish.
LEARNING EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST
Allison spent the first 10 years of her career as an elementary educator in a large district in DFW. She taught 1st-3rd graders through the years, in both regular and dual language programs. As a teacher, she loved finding ways to integrate technology to engage and create new learning experiences for her students. She then spent 3 years serving as an EdTech specialist for the same school district where she was able to share her passion for EdTech with teachers and administrators. Allison’s most recent experience was in the corporate world where she was able to hone her training and instructional design skills for an auto-finance company. Her true passion for education and educators brought her to friEdTechnology.
LEARNING EXPERIENCE DESIGNER
Darryl has been an edutainer (educator/entertainer) for over a decade. He was an early adopter of Google’s educational tools, an incorporator of all things Project-Based Learning, and an all around fun dude. After teaching, he ventured into educational technology as a digital learning specialist and then media specialist. He is passionate about engaging activities like digital escape rooms, design thinking, and the efficiency of using Google tools. No wonder he is the perfect Experience Designer for friEdOnline! He is also a co-host of the “Flipping Good Tech” podcast along with his friend and colleague, Elizabeth. Darryl is a fun-loving guy who likes corny dad jokes and long walks on the beach.Darryl is a Google Level 1 & Level 2 Certified Educator, Google Certified Innovator, and a Google Certified Trainer.
LEARNING EXPERIENCE DESIGNER
Lauren’s career actually started in the graphic design and art direction arena. When she found herself craving a more fulfilling path, she started exploring the world of education and fell in love. As it turns out, great design and great teaching go hand in hand! This became her mission in her classroom as a Google Innovator, and it quickly grew to her district and other schools within the US when we all quickly shifted to distance learning. She is such an asset to the friEdOnline team as a Learning Experience Designer creating useful, engaging asynchronous learning opportunities. Lauren lives with her husband, daughter and her sweet dog in beautiful Colorado! Lauren is a Google Level 1 & Level 2 Certified Educator, Google Certified Innovator, and a Google Certified Trainer.
After spending several years teaching 3rd and 4th grade, Michelle has spent the last few decades working with educators through various organizations and edtech software companies. She is passionate about working with teachers and school district personnel to help them be more productive, engaged, and save time with their technology tools! Her eye for detail and stellar communication skills makes her an amazing project manager and behind the scenes statistician magician!
Michelle is a Google Level 1 & Level 2 Certified Educator.
