Meet the Expert:
Shantel Lott

Shantel’s career began as a High School Theatre Tech Director and Social Studies teacher. Both positions fueled her passion for the Arts and History. She spent the past few years before joining the friEd Team as an Instructional Technology Specialist supporting teachers with their classroom tech needs. She was such an asset to teachers during the recent pandemic when teachers were working in both synchronous and asynchronous environments. Shantel also authored the friEdOnline course, Stack your Skills: Schoology Essentials. She believes most learners, regardless of their age, want to be seen and affirmed for who they are and the positive things they are doing.
Shantel is a Google Level 1 & Level 2 Certified Educator and a Google Certified Trainer. She is also a Microsoft Certified Educator and Newsela Certified Educator.
The training was absolutely phenomenal. The repetition, examples, and the demonstrations were very informative.

AMAZING as always. I've used Schoology before with virtual learning and as a place for absent students to complete assignments when they miss class, but after taking this course I feel more confident and equipped to rock Schoology.
Jessica
I love the way this course was laid out. It was bright, it was engaging, and it gave a lot of details but did not drag it out. It was straight to the point but informative.
Mallory
This was an easy-to-follow, well-organized learning experience.
Trisha
The other outside courses of Schoology are awful. Everyone should do this one.
Amanda
As an older teacher in a world of ever growing technology, this was easy to understand.
